I predicted the loss and had no doubts about it. Although, I would have like to come away with a "clean" victory, I am happy to come away with a victory.

I have my own opinions about what I think the call should have been. I was just saying that I wish we would have come away with a win in which there was no controversy. ___________________________________________________ I eat pieces of crap like you for breakfast! |

There's a missed call in every game. We had 200 more yards of offense than LSU. It was a sound win, regardless of a tough call that really is debatable. Don't be fooled otherwise. |

"The" call? There were several calls that weren't made or were made in error, and any of them carried the potential to affect the outcome of the game. They were neither wholly in favor of LSU or Bama. Officiating is an imperfect science, but we must take the "good" with the "bad". In all, I'd say this game was definitely not affected by the officiating, and certainly not to the extent that the LSU/GA game or recent UF game were. _________________________ Former Green Bay Packers coach Vince Lombardi, when asked how it felt to be the greatest team in the world after winning the championship in 1966, said, “I don’t know, we haven’t played Alabama yet.” Support the Fair Tax intiative at Link ! |

Thanks for manning up Big Balls.
It was a "clean" and decisive victory, IMO. On that INT all of the whos are whining about, the player's foot that was in bounds came up off the turf as the ball hit his hands and by the time he controlled/possessed the ball the edge of his other foot touched down on the edge of the boundary. IMO, that's the way the official saw it on the field and obviously there was no conclusive evidence seen by the replay officials that the official on the fieeld got it wrong. Doesn't matter anyway. Bama would have still won. Besides, McElroy missed two sure TD throws and threw a dumb interception that cost a FG. That's 17 points left on the field, all in the first half. LSU is dang lucky it wasn't over by halftime with a final score of 41-15 which would have made them drop much further in the polls than they will. They got their @sses whooped much worse than the score indicated. They've got no business whining about the officiating. Bottom line, LSU did not deserve to win. They got their @sses whooped. ______________________________________________________ "Bingo! That was a goodie!" -- Paul "Bear" Bryant |
