For me as a Bama fan it is TCU... I want no part of them....I hope to God that Bama does not meet up with them in the Sugar if we can not defeat UF...

Correction: Boise State is the Team that don't want to play anyone.

Actually that is wrong... They try to get big teams on their schedule but no one will play them because it does not help their program..

From what I have read and heard they try to schedule a home and home so no money would be involved but teams turn them down, so they try to get them to just pay them for coming to their place and no one will do that either... ESPN said it was something like 17 big programs that have all turned them down but did not list them.... I can't say I blame them it is a no win situation for the bigger programs...

Koko is right. Boise St. is trying to sign tougher games. But nobody wants to play them because a win over them doesn't really help. The fact is, Boise St. WILL have to move into some BCS conference if they ever want to play the big boys AND get respect. Otherwise, teams will continue to turn them down.

It's total crap if they won't list the teams who supposedy turned Boise State down. Anyone can claim anythng if they don't name names. Also, what do they consider a "major" program, Texas A&M, Washington, Kanss, etc? Like I said, t's total BS without any names.

Sounds like that article Charles Goldberg wrote a while back that aubrun was so good teams didnt want to play them but Fresno State wanted to schedule a game with the barn and their coach Pat Hill said the barn wouldnt return their call.....Dont let the truth get in the way of your story.

I don't know if I'd say total crap but at least partly crap. There was a report or two recently on ESPN that Boise St. has retained a PR firm to promote it's program aimed at making a BCS bowl. These "no one will play us" stories may very well be one of the results of that PR firm's work and there's probably more to come about Boise St. in the media.

Instead of hiring a PR firm, Boise St. needs to read the handwriting on the wall, man up and join the MWC. That would help Boise St. and the MWC both. The MWC would have a much better case for and shot at becoming a BCS conference if Boise St. joined up with them.

Have you seen TCU play?? They are not some mid tier level second rate program, they are the real deal... They are very similar to Bama with their run game and defense.... If Bama did beat them it would be a very low scoring game and in no way would it be a blow out..

rather them than boise or cincy. tcu is the defensive ground game type of team. we all saw what an undersized quick passing team can do to us

gwgdruid,

I think your original thought got hijacked. I love to read Jess's perspective over at TideFans. It looks like Bama has arrived.

Yeah I see what you are saying but I would rather play a Boise or Cincy whose defense is suspect where as TCU has a very solid defense.... They have been #1 in rushing defense the past 2 years...

7-5 in the SEC. Maybe 8-4. Reminds me of Kentucky or South Carolina.

Do you really think this team is the same one as the team that took Utah so lightly?
