ok, I'm bored of the same ole topics so I thought how bout we list songs that reference Alabama (as in the state, not necessarily football) or the Crimson Tide.

I was too busy listening to David Allan Coe, George Jones, and George Strait.

Oh, and there was this singer named Garth something or other...

The Steely Dan reference to Alabama in 'Deacon Blue' - "they call Alabama the crimson Tide..." - is not packaged in favorable content.

Donald Fagan - co-writer of the song - says:
"You mean like how they call those redneck ******** this grandiose name like Crimson Tide..."

This discussion has been going on for quite a while.
