Croom will not be fired. If you look at State's schedule, they could be bowl eligible. SC i think is a loss, then they have UAB... 4-2. Then they just need to beat Ole Miss and sneak up on somebody like Arky and they are Shreveport-bound come Dec.

I am just saying... their defense is good and the SEC is a little weak this year IMO. And before I get flamed... UT has struggled mightily to this point, AUB is not what ANYONE thought they would be, neither is ARKY. On the flip KY is dominating folks like ARKY.

Croom is not going anywhere, beat Bama last year, Auburn this year. He might get a contract extension.

A new AD spells trouble for Houston Nutt. Otherwise, I don't see anyone else getting axed. It is very popular in the media to say Coach O and/or Croom, but I don't see it.

Everyone at UM seems to be looking past his game record and looks at his recruiting. And who really knows what Pete Boone will do? With Croom's victory over Alabama last year and the victory over Auburn this year, he is safe for at least one more year.

Tubby should be nervous, the only two coaches to survive losing to Croom is Coach O (who knows what's going on in Oxford) & Rich Brooks (it's Kentucky) Zook and Shula got the quick hook.

I listen to sports radio here in Memphis when I'm in the car and listen to B'ham sports talk on the internet. Tennessee fans are very unhappy with Fulmer. They feel like, with the recruiting classes he has had, he should have done and be doing a lot more. If he doesn't pull something out of his butt soon, he may very well be gone.

My husband and I have a friend who is a professor at Ole Miss. He says people there hate Coach O and hope that he doesn't do well so he will be fired.

I don't think Croom or Orgeron will get fired. Aside from Nutt, the only other possibility is probably Fulmer. It'll be tough for them to get rid of Fulmer though.
I think it's possible that Miles could leave for Michigan and Meyer could leave for the NFL though. I could also see Richt taking the Florida State job whenever Bowden stops coaching.

Nutt is the closest thing to a sure bet. The 4th quarter collapse at home against UK cemented it.

Well, he plays enough Sunbelt schools and Tenn-Chatt to keep his win total up. If he can go 4-4 in SEC he will still be 8-4 and probably keep his job IMHO.

Tuberville, Fulmer and Nutt are still employed because of the UA probation mess -- if any one of them had lost just 1-2 more games to UA over the last 8 years he would no longer be coaching. I am pretty sure losing to UA this year will do Nutt in. If Fulmer loses to Saban this year, he is probably done. Tuberville has the title to Auburn so he can't be touched this year -- that is a true example of lack of institutional control Smiler.

1. Urban Meyer will NEVER go to the NFL. He is too smart for that. He has closely watched Saban and Spurrier try it and it did not work. Meyer knows he can build a dynasty at Florida and he is not going anywhere.

2. The only one right now that seems to be on a really hot seat is Orgeron. He has to pull a major upset or he is gone, hopefully he will not do it to Bama. He has shown that his teams can get really close though.
3. Fulmer will probably be safe if he beats Georgia or Bama and he will very, very likely beat at least one of them. But the Vol fans are smelling blood anyway and they literally hated him before this season even began (I know a lot of people that live there and listen to a couple of radio programs there over the net).
4. Croom is safe, he already solidified another season by getting Tubs. It adds to his rather impressive count of heavyweight name opponents that he has knocked off: Florida, Alabama, and Auburn.
5. Tubs season depends on beating Arkansas, Georgia, or Bama, not sure he beat either of the latter.
6. Vandy's Bobby Johnson is safe and will possibly make a bowl game.
7. Brooks at Kentucky is safe, he may beat Spurrier or Fulmer this year.
8. Miles wears his hat so tight and he may leave, who knows right now.
9. Nutt is pretty crazy and who knows what their new AD wants to happen.

10. Richt is untouchable.
11. Meyer is untouchable.
12. Saban is untouchable.
13. Spurrier is untouchable.

The Process Continues
