This is going to make me sound incredibly ignorant, but i'll ask it anyway. What is it about healthcare that keeps going up every year? Has the price of hospital beds increased? Are nurses now making $90/hour? What? If the newest meds are costing so much, why not use some of the older ones that worked ok but are cheaper? Why is it so hard to figure out how to spend less?
It all just seems like a big scam to me to soften up the public opinion of the nation for a big power grab. Because people don't have the freedom to choose their health care insurance providers like they do their auto insurance. In other words, lack of competition.
You can thank government regulation for that. |
